Sales Manager Germany

Job description
Are you willing to work at a young, rapidly growing and international digital online technology company? Then you can be part of our sales & Business Development team! We’re looking for a sales manager, experienced with digital media, in order to grow and develop new business opportunities for Adcombi’s technology in Germany. You’ll be stationed in Hamburg and report to your colleague, the VP Business Development Europe.

Adcombi is an Amsterdam based software company that makes it easy to manage and improve the performance of any display marketing campaign. Whether it’s creating and serving dynamic content million times a day, allowing hundreds of local franchisers to directly customise their message in a live company-wide campaign, or generating detailed insights into the performance. Our software handles it all! With a team of 50 talented professionals, we’re building local and international campaigns from our Amsterdam headquarters and our second base in Hamburg. We’re proud to serve clients like Toyota, Suzuki, Airberlin and Trivago.

Job tasks and desired profile
The role involves maintaining existing client relationships, and developing new business with media agencies and direct clients. Setting up these relationships, present solutions and maintaining satisfied clients are key elements of the role.

  • Selling Adcombi technology to media agencies and directly to clients;
  • Creating and presenting client proposals;
  • Building client relationships and secure new business;
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers;
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and close sales;
  • Gathering market and customer information;
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications, specifically with digital buyers and managers;
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements;
  • Organise marketing events in Hamburg to discuss market developments and present our solution;
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in online media sales;
  • An existing network media agencies as well as direct clients;
  • German as a native language;
  • Fluent in English, preferably one other foreign language;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
  • Proactive and an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • Flexible, you’ll be working in Amsterdam once a month.

Job description
As SysOp engineer, you’re the connection between Systems Engineering and Development. You don’t like your work to be repetitive, however, you do like to automate repetitive work. You have substantial working experience with Linux. In addition, Docker, Jenkins, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Integration and Kubernetes are not unknown to you, and we’d prefer it if you have experience with these or similar technologies. You also like to create Continuous Integration and Infrastructure Deployment, and to maintain and to improve this.

What will you do?
As an intern at Adcombi you’ll be working in the field of business development. In this position you create an total overview of the European online market, with a strong focus on the German market. How do these markets compare, and in which market can we achieve the fastest growth? Besides creating a market overview, you’ll also take a close look at the acquisition channels, which are used in the different market and how can we reach new clients?

What do we look for?
For this challenging internship we look for the following qualities:

  • A Bachelor or Master education, completed or intern;
  • Available for a minimum timeframe of five months;
  • Forty hours a week;
  • Strong affinity with online and sales;
  • Strong communication skills, verbal as well as written;
  • Native in Dutch or English, both languages are on par;

Your skills

As a full-stack developer you are responsible for the creation and realization of new display advertising software tools. You are:

Requirements

You’re a full-stack developer with a minimum of 5 years experience. You speak at least two languages (we are working a lot in Ruby). You are aware of trends in the market (docker, rocket, coreos, InfluxDB) but have enough experience to know that the shiniest new toys do not always produce the best results for the company. You have extensive knowledge of databases. You have experience in the management and configuration of * NIX servers. Feasibility and scalability are your motto. Knowledge of Rails, angularjs, Slim, SCSS, ExpressJS and Predictive Algorithms are preferred. You know how it is to work in a team.

What will you do?

In our team there are a lot of diverse projects to be a part of. However, this will require that you are diverse in your abilities also. Some of the task you will be asked to do may not fall under the traditional ‘graphic designer’ job role. Here are a few examples:

  • Redesigning old design projects that need updating or refreshing;
  • Update and manage multiple wordpress websites;
  • Create promotional videos or animations;
  • Produce designs for print; posters, business cards, white papers etc.;
  • Produce designs for digital distribution; presentations, infographics etc;
  • Create HTML5 banner ads.
