Amsterdam, 9 March 2018. Adtech company Adcombi again raises investment for growth. The fast growing company uses the investment to enlarge its management, integrate social advertising into its technology and to expand into new markets. ‘’The main objective is to be the one solution in the area of local and dynamic advertising.”
Entrepreneurs and investors Steven Jongeneel and Boudewijn van Ewijk both step into adtech company Adcombi. The duo will support founder Gerrit Reinders to lead growth in the right direction. Previously Rabobank invested in de growth of Adcombi’s technology. Jongeneel explains: “It is an investment for upscaling the company. We are working hard to further develop the technology and we will grow into new markets very soon.’’
Adcombi’s technology enables brands to advertise on a hyperlocal level, with full relevancy and minimal costs. For example: it is possible for a retailer to simultaneously run personalized display advertisements in the area of catchment. Intelligent, dynamic and fully automated.
The investment is used to develop new services and to further expand the market position. In addition to display advertising via DSPs, Adcombi also realizes an integration with social networks such as Facebook. On the long term, the company will also integrate other digital media types, such as digital radio and outdoor. “We are the alternative for traditional media such as door-to-door advertising, which recently has been restricted in Amsterdam. Local, relevant and with privacy protection of the consumer. A one-stop solution for all companies with multiple locations”, says Van Ewijk.
Expansion into new markets
The growth ambition of Adcombi is not limited to the Netherlands only. Reinders: “We want to serve new European markets with Adcombi, including Belgium and Germany. The first steps have already been taken with clients in Germany. In the Netherlands, brands like Jumbo, Citroën , Blokker and Rabobank employ the Adcombi technology. Also agencies such as Havas Media, Traffic4U, Universal Media and various publishers including TMG work with the technology.

After successfully exiting Social Embassy to Dentsu Aegis Network, he started applying his passion, skills and network to accelerate and facilitate fast growing digital businesses.
